Winning Over West Ham, Solskjaer Still Criticizes MU’s Game

Menang Atas West Ham, Solskjaer Tetap Kritik Permainan MU

Manchester United won the victory over West Ham United in the Premier League continued last weekend. However, coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was not immediately satisfied with the appearance of his players.

The match took place at Old Trafford, Monday morning WIB (15/03). Manchester United, which on paper is superior to The Hammers, are of course the favored to win, especially when the match takes place at their home.

Sure enough, the Red Devils won with a final score of 1-0. However, coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was not satisfied and even tended to criticize the performance of his players in the match.

How come? There were lots of opportunities created by Marcus Rashford et al throughout the match, but none of these opportunities resulted in goals. In fact, the Red Devils’ winning goal was created by Craig Dawson’s suicide in the 53rd minute.

Solskjaer actually predicted that the duel against West Ham United would not be easy, but according to him, it was the Red Devils players themselves who made the match look difficult.

“We could be more comfortable towards the end of the match because we had some decent opportunities to score goals. We like to make it difficult for ourselves,” Solskjaer was quoted as saying by Goal International.

Actually, The Hammers themselves did not manage to record a single kick on target throughout the match, it’s just that Solskjaer thought his players were too easy to provide opportunities for the opposing team.

“In the first 15 minutes, we gave the ball every attack. You don’t have to open up stupidly because you know West Ham are a threat on the counter,” said Solskjaer.

But apart from that, the tactician still praised his players for continuing the Cleansheet record. Slowly, the players will be more confident about winning and performing well.

“We can score two or three goals easily. We know West Ham are challenging for a place in the top four. So it’s a big result and we keep a clean sheet again. Experience and confidence will come,” said Solskjaer.
