When He Come Back, Marc Marquez Will Not Be The Same Person

Petronas Yamaha SRT rider Franco Morbidelli does not believe Marc Marquez can become the same person on the track once he recovers from an arm injury.

As we know, Marc Marquez suffered an arm fracture that kept him out of the 2020 season. Even today, the injury that made him climb to the operating table three times has left Marc still having to go through a period of recovery.

His recovery period was indeed going smoothly, but the Repsol Honda Team Rider was still not allowed to take to the track, even in the gym he could only do light training.

Due to his condition that is not fully fit, it is confirmed that Marc Marquez will not participate in the pre-season trials in Qatar on March 6-7 and 10-12, and it has not been determined when he can return to racing.

Many people predict that Marc Marquez will regain control of the track at the comeback, but Franco Morbidelli has a different opinion.

After going through a full season without racing, this Petronas Yamaha SRT Team Rider is not sure that Marc Marquez will be able to return to his old self.

“Marc’s injury is very bad, one of the worst injuries we have seen in a top athlete. I don’t remember a single rider or sportsman having to miss a full season at the height of their career … Ronaldo, maybe.”

“Marc will find it difficult to return to himself like before, but this is not impossible,” he said.

Franco Morbidelli last season appeared quite good, even though he was not seeded, but he managed to finish in second place in the final standings of the season. No wonder many predict that this Italian man will appear fierce in this 2021 season.

Regarding that, Morbidelli admitted that his main target was indeed to become world champion.

“I am more than just feeling I can become world champion, because I have to be world champion. I must not hide behind artificial answers. I will try to do my job, I know I could do it last year.”

“I will also try to do it again and get better,” he concluded.
