Transfer News: Marco Reus rejected offers from European Six-Giant

The German National Team striker, Marco Reus, for the umpteenth time showed loyalty to Borussia Dortmund through the signature of a new contract. However, in the process of being loyal to the German Bundesliga giants, the 30-year-old player apparently had refused an offer from a number of European giants. The total of six European giants was rejected by Reus as his transfer agent claims, even Barcelona is one of them.

Marco Reus is not One Man One Club, he has just joined Borussia Dortmund since imported from Borussia M’Gladbach in the summer 2012 transfer market. The years together with Dortmund, Reus showed a fast-paced development, and at the peak he almost ushered Dortmund to the European Champions League in 2013. Since then, there have been many interested ones who are interested in serving Reus.

Especially in the summer transfer market in 2015, when Reus was wanted by six European giants, including Barcelona, Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain, AC Milan, Manchester City and Manchester United. But as Reus transfer agent Pssotta claims, none of these offers were able to attract his clients to leave Borussia Park. In fact, at that time Dortmund was in a situation not conducive because of the club’s feeble achievements and abandoned Jurgen Klopp.

“For example, in the summer transfer market in 2015, Dirk Hebel as my leader sat at the Dusseldorf airport with Raul Sanllehi, a representative from Barcelona. Six months later, Catalan club officials, led by Robert Fernandez, made their new effort to persuade Reus to dock with Spain. They are not as successful as Richard Law from Arsenal, who made a total of three meetings, as well as Ivan Gazidis from AC Milan, Oliver Letang from Paris Saint-Germain and representatives from the Manchester duo,” Psotta told GQ.

For information, Marco Reus has just added to his tenure at Borussia Dortmund, extending his service along with the German Bundesliga giants. Since his debut in 2012, he has recorded 240 appearances and scored 117 goals in all competitions for Borussia Dortmund, winning three domestic trophies during that period.
