Toni Kroos hopes to pick up his fifth European Champions League trophy

Toni Kroos is one of the players who has collected four European Champions League trophies in his career. However, this fact did not necessarily make the German midfielder feel satisfied, he even wanted a fifth UCL trophy.

It should be noted that Toni Kroos won the European Champions League title for the first time when he was a Bayern Munich shirt in 2013.

In 2014, Kroos decided to move to Real Madrid, and with his new club he won three consecutive Champions League trophies in 2016, 2017 and 2018 respectively.

Thus, the German player pocketed four European Champions League trophies. Even though in fact, it is a lot for a player, where there are rarely players who can collect that many Champions League trophies, but Kroos is still not satisfied.

The former Bayern Munich player still wants a fifth European Champions League trophy in his career.

“If you already know what it feels like to win the Champions League, you will want it again and again. Sometimes a year or two goes by, which is understandable because many other teams also want to be champions.”

“However, the feeling never goes away once you feel it, you want it again. Even though I already have four Champions League trophies, I want a fifth,” Kroos told Marca.

In addition to the fifth European Champions League trophy being his personal ambition, Kroos is aware that it is also a demand as a Real Madrid player, because from the start the club has always set high standards for results at the end of the season.

Kroos also admitted that he still remembers the warm welcome from the fans when he first arrived at the Santiago Bernabeu.

“The day of my presentation … there were 30,000 people there, not for the match, but to see me kick the ball for just a few seconds,”

“It’s different from anything I’ve seen and experienced. Here, success belongs only to tomorrow, the most important thing is the present and winning the next trophy,” he concluded.

Real Madrid itself this season successfully advanced to the last 16 of the European Champions League and will face Atalanta.
