Solskjaer’s Special Praise for Zlatan Ibrahimovic
Even though his team managed to beat AC Milan, coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer still gave credit to the Rossoneri, especially their flagship striker, Zlatan Ibrahimovic who also played with Manchester United.
As is known, Zlatan Ibrahimovic was initially doubted that he would appear in the second leg of the Europa League round of 16 against Manchester United.
But in reality, the player’s condition, which was already fit, made him participate in the match that took place this morning (19/03) at the San Siro.
Ahead of the match, both hosts AC Milan and Manchester United still have an equal chance of winning tickets to the quarter-finals after the first leg at Old Trafford ended in a 1-1 draw.
However, in the end, Manchester United won the ticket to the last eight after winning the duel at the San Siro by a narrow score of 1-0.
This victory is clearly important for Manchester United, it shows that they are indeed better than the Rossoneri, even though Italy’s representatives appear with Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
However, the Red Devils coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer did not necessarily consider Ibra a Medioker player just because AC Milan lost this morning.
“He [Zlatan] has had an extraordinary career,” Solskjaer told MU’s official website.
The man from Norway says that only a handful of players can remain at the top level at the age of 38.
“Playing at his age and being able to maintain his level of play is extraordinary. Zlatan is also a role model for other players,”
“He never stops surprising others. He just returned to the Swedish national team for the Euros to show that he has a big hunger in football,” he said.
In fact, the presence of Ibrahimovic in the AC Milan squad since January last year was not just a complement to Stefano Pioli’s team, more than that, he considered Ibra an important player for the Italian club.
“He won trophies at many clubs and he has had a great impact and influence in every club he plays for,” he said.
