Solskjaer’s big smile after MU won over Watford

Manchester United tactician Ole Gunnar Solskjaer became the happiest person following the Red Devils victory over Watford last Sunday night. Apart from the results, the coach admitted he was satisfied to see the performance of his players.

As is known, Manchester United did face Watford in the 27th week of the Premier League last weekend. Playing at Old Trafford, the Red Devils won with a landslide score of 3-0.

Despite winning three goals without reply, Manchester United did not necessarily without a fight. Watford even applied strict pressing tactics that made it difficult for Solskjaer’s troops. But slowly, the host is able to find a gap and finally win.

Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer then looked so satisfied with the performance of his players in the party.

“This is a very good victory for us,” Solskjaer told MUTV.

Nevertheless, that does not mean there is no correction. Solskjaer considered his players to be less convincing in the first round, fortunately the right response was shown in the second half.

“I think in the first half we played poorly and gave them a number of opportunities. But slowly but surely we start to print more opportunities,” he said.

Furthermore, the Norwegian coach recognized the importance of training camp during last winter’s break. He felt that the enthusiasm and determination of his players improved after the training camp that took place in Spain.

“Last week was an important week in Marbella. We build team spirit, togetherness and also understanding between one player and another. This pause proved successful and we can take advantage of this momentum,” he concluded.

As for the match, Manchester United won thanks to Bruno Fernandez’s penalty, then Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood. Three points obtained by MU last night proved to be a very crucial point.

Thanks to that, now Manchester United have managed to take over 5th place in the standings, they are only three points adrift of the top four occupied by Chelsea. If consistent, it is not impossible that the Red Devils will take over the big four from the hands of the Blues.
