Soccer Prediction for 31 January 2019 – Barcelona vs. Sevilla

Barcelona have a mission that is heavy enough to be able to advance to the King’s Cup semi-finals or Copa Del Rey this season, following the defeat they swallowed in the first leg of the quarter-final against Chelsea. The Catalan giants must pursue a two-goal deficit against the team directed by Pablo Machin. But, there are still opportunities for Barcelona, when they host Sevilla in the middle of the second leg this week. This super big match will take place on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Estadio Camp Nou, Barcelona.

As we said, Barcelona has a difficult mission to be able to advance to the last four of the Copa Del Rey this season, following a 0-2 defeat which they swallowed at the first leg meeting at Sevilla headquarters last week. However, Barcelona believe they will be able to pursue the two-goal deficit, especially in the second leg meeting later they will play at home. In addition, coach Ernesto Valverde is believed to be downgrading his best squad to advance to the semifinals.

However, Sevilla certainly has a greater chance of advancing to the semifinals, because in fact they only need a draw, even losing with a score of 0-1 also still produce tickets to the top four for the team directed by Pablo Machin. But on paper, Sevilla is indeed no better than Barcelona, especially talking about overall performance this season.
