Setien has no doubt Messi will stay in Barcelona
Inter Milan seem to be preparing a big plan to hook the mega star of Argentina, Lionel Messi. However, coach Quique Setien is 100 percent confident that his captain will stay at Camp Nou.
The issue of Messi’s transfer is actually not news that just evaporated. Over the past few years, the Argentine Mega Star has repeatedly been said to be moving. From Manchester City to Paris Saint-Germain claimed to have tried to realize this transfer saga.
But what happened, the winner of 6 Ballon d’Or titles decided to stay in Barcelona until now.
However, this fact does not necessarily discourage the transfer issue that reverberates in European media. The latest, Serie A giant, Inter Milan is believed to be using the situation of the player in Barcelona to hook him in the upcoming transfer market.
Messi is claimed to have been uncomfortable with the situation at Barca, not to mention the contract has only one year left at Camp Nou. In addition, the captain was once involved in a conflict with the club legend who now serves as sporting director, Eric Abidal.
But coach Quique Setien never doubted that Messi would stay at Barcelona.
“No, that won’t be possible. Lionel Messi and Barcelona will always be united. That’s the truth. Lionel Messi has been at the club for 20 years and nothing explains anything bad here,”
“He is an extraordinary bond between Barcelona and Lionel Messi, something that cannot be measured by money,” Quique Setien said.
Messi’s role in Barcelona is indeed very vital, even now, where the Argentine star is 32 years old. Setien then asked the public to continue to support La Pulga.
“Everything must be done so that Lionel Messi gets the best possible support so that Barcelona can continue to win like in the last 15 years,” Quique Setien said.
In this 2019/20 season campaign, Lionel Messi has recorded 19 goals and 12 assists in the Spanish League. With that in mind, La Pulga leads the league’s top scorer list.
