Sergi Roberto has not signed an agreement with Manchester City

Barcelona player Sergi Roberto has yet to receive any offer from Manchester city, claimed the transfer agent.

Over the past few weeks, rumors have surfaced that claim that Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola is interested in recruiting Sergi Roberto at the Etihad Stadium in the transfer market this summer.

Roberto, known as a Versatille player, made Guardiola interested in making him a Kyle Walker tandem or presenting competition in the main squad next season.

This rumor continues to grow over time. It was even mentioned that Manchester City had cast an offer for the 28-year-old.

However, this rumor was confirmed to be untrue and even denied by Roberto’s agent, Josep Maria Orotbitg. He stressed he had not received an offer from Manchester City or any other team.

After all, his client also had absolutely no plans or intentions to leave Camp Nou.

“Sergi Roberto has no plans to leave Barca. Now there is no club that shows interest and Barca did not give a proposal for the player to us,” Orotbitg told Manchester Evening News.

Before rumors of Sergi Roberto evaporating, Barcelona and Manchester City were linked to a player named Eric Garcia.

Catalan giants are claimed to be interested in attracting Eric Garcia, who this season started playing in the Manchester City first team option Pep Guardiola

For information, Eric Garcia is a Barcelona academy player who later decided to move to Manchester City in 2017.

Meanwhile, Sergi Roberto is indeed one of the results of the Giant Catalan academy. He began to penetrate the first team since 2010 ago.

But indeed, from the beginning the players rarely get the chance to appear regularly. To date he has recorded 282 appearances in all competitions for Barcelona.

But his contribution to the Catalan club in the past decade also cannot be underestimated. Roberto also took part in a series of titles won by Barcelona during that period.

These include 2 European Champions League titles.
