Revealed! Ronald Koeman should be the coach of Barca

Instead of Quique Setien who serves as Barcelona coach, it has just been revealed the fact that the one who should occupy the position is Ronald Koeman. The former Everton coach claimed he got an offer from the Catalan giants in January.

Barcelona did make a change of coach in the winter transfer market last January. They kicked Ernesto Valverde from the manager’s chair, shortly after the failure at the Spanish Super Cup.

Before the dismissal was announced by the club, there were several names of top coaches associated with Valverde’s position. These include Ronald Koeman, Mauricio Pochettino to Massimiliano Allegri.

However, in the end the Catalan giant appointed Quique Setien to become Valverde’s successor. However, it has just been revealed that it turns out that Setien is not the only consideration of Barcelona.

Ronald Koeman as the Dutch national team coach claimed to get an offer from Barcelona last January.

“He, it really does exist,” Koeman told Goal International.

Actually, Ronald Koeman himself has long buried the job. But not without reason he refused an offer from Barcelona.

Koeman said he was focused on preparing the Dutch national team for the upcoming 2020 European Cup. He could not just move in the middle of the preparation.

“I said ‘no’ to them because I was still working for the National Team.” He said.

For information, the Netherlands is certain to enter the A1 Group of the UEFA Nations League this year. They will be in a group with Italy, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Poland.

Seeing the results of the drawing, Ronald Koeman seemed grateful because he was spared from the Hell Group which of course would be difficult for the players.

“In my opinion, this group is quite good because this group can actually be more difficult. What is even more fun is that we can face countries that we have never encountered other than Italy.” he said.

Barcelona itself has not yet found the best rhythm game under the direction of Quique Setien. The latest, they surrendered 0-2 when they travel to the headquarters of rival club, Real Madrid. As a result of these defeats, Barca are now in second position in the standings.

However, in that position Messi et al only one point behind Real Madrid.
