Paris Saint-Germain seems to have found tough competitors in their efforts to redeem Argentine striker, Mauro Icardi permanently from Inter Milan. It was said that the former Sampdoria player was also wanted by Spanish La Liga giants, Real Madrid to increase their bang for the rest of the season.
As is known, Mauro Icardi did not really want Inter Milan after being involved in an incident in the middle of the 2018/19 season yesterday. As a result, the club insisted on releasing it in the transfer market last summer. Had been linked with Juventus, but in the end, Icardi joined Paris Saint-Germain on loan agreement.
Together with Les Parisiens, Icardi was impressive. He managed to gain 14 goals and three assists from the last 18 matches with Paris Saint-Germain. The brilliant performance of course made the defending champion Ligue 1 France determined to make it up permanently next summer. Moreover, Cavani, which has been a mainstay, has also begun to aging.
But it turns out, not only Paris Saint-Germain is interested in redeeming Icardi permanently. Reportedly Real Madrid also crave the service of the 27-year-old player. Icardi’s presence is expected to increase sharpness in the Los Blancos attack line. Because, Madrid only rely on Karim Benzema to break into the opponent’s goal this season.
Benzema himself so far has only scored 16 goals in all competitions. Meanwhile, Eden Hazard and Luka Jovic, who were just brought in this summer, both contributed one goal for Real Madrid. But of course, it will not be easy for Real Madrid to recruit Icardi on a permanent basis.
Because, it is believed Paris Saint-Germain is also ready to fulfill the Icardi purchase clause which reaches 70 million Euros (IDR 1 trillion). In addition, Sports Director of Les Parisiens, Leonardo, will reportedly give the Argentine player a five-season duration contract. PSG is said to be left behind by Edison Cavani, who will leave for Atletico Madrid in January 2020.
But wherever Icardi’s goals are in the transfer market next summer, what clearly survives at Inter Milan is not one of his options.
