PSG President: I promise we’ll win the Champion League next season!

Seeing Thomas Tuchel’s troops failing to win the European Champions League this season, PSG President Nasser Al Khelaifi did not necessarily feel pessimistic. In fact, he promised that next season Les Parisiens would lift the trophy for the first time in history.

After a long and difficult journey, Paris Saint-Germain made it to the final of the European Champions League for the first time in history. In the top round, they faced Bayern Munich.

Unfortunately, in the party that was held at the Estadio Da Luz, Portugal, Monday (24/8), Paris Saint-Germain lost by a narrow score of 0-1 to the defending German Bundesliga Champion.

Obviously this defeat is very disappointing, because PSG has looked at the history of the European Champions League Champion for the first time in history. In fact, Neymar, who played from the first minute of the match, seemed to cry after the match.

The club’s president, Nasser AL Khelaifi also admitted that he was sad by this defeat, but he did not immediately sink into disappointment. Moreover, the achievement of this final is the first in history, which proves that PSG are getting closer to the Champions League trophy.

“We are sad, but don’t forget that we did a lot of great things this season. In the final, we lost 0-1 but should have scored two or three goals. Almost,”

“I’m very proud of my players. We’ve had a great season and tournament. We have everything it takes to win, but that’s football.” he told RMC Sport.

Furthermore, the tycoon from the Middle East promised that Paris Saint-Germain would win the European Champions League Trophy next season.

“We will try to win next season. Tonight, we feel much more confident than before. I promise we will win the Champions League,” he continued.

There is nothing to be disappointed about, given the fact that this is the first final for Paris Saint-Germain, while for Bayern Munich it is the 11th final in their history.

“We lost 0-1. That’s football. There are a few small things to improve. This is our first final, the 11th time for Bayern,” he concluded.
