Patrick Vieira ready to accept Arsenal’s offer
Arsenal manager’s seat is currently empty since the sacking of Unai Emery. Yes, there is Ljungberg who sits on it, but it only temporarily. Related to this, one Arsenal legend who is training Nice now, Patrick Vieira, gave a strong signal to accept the proposal of the Gunners, if indeed he got an offer from the North London club.
As is known, Unai Emery has been officially fired by Arsenal, starting from the end of November. The Spaniard is thought to be the culprit of the series of negative results the club found earlier this season. Freddie Ljungberg has the status of a karteker until an unspecified time limit.
However, under the direction of the Swedish manager, Arsenal have never improved, they have never won in the last two matches in the Premier League. First draw with Norwich City, then in the next match it was subdued at the hands of Brighton and Hove Albion. It is very clear that this is a signal that Arsenal must immediately appoint a permanent coach.
There are a number of top manager names associated with the Arsenal manager’s chair, and including one is Vieira, the club’s former iconic midfielder. Although he claimed to be committed to Nice, Vieira said he was ready to return to his old club if he did get an offer.
“You can never refuse a club that you have defended for nine years. But to be honest, I am currently focused on the project in Nice. I enjoy my career here. I always say that I am very happy in Nice. We continue to work hard to bring this club to growth, ” said Vieira to Canal +
Actually, Nice itself is not very good under the direction of this French coach, even though the club got a pretty big investment injection from the owner of the British club, Sir Jim Ratcliffe. As is known, Nice successfully brought talented players like Adam Ounas and Kasper Dolberg last summer. Currently, Nice is still ranked 12th in Ligue 1 with 23 points.
Maybe that will make Arsenal re-think about Patrick Vieira’s plans.
