Only Messi deserves to be bought by Liverpool at the moment

The winter transfer market will arrive soon, and several clubs have given indications that they will bring new ammunition on the occasion, one of them is Liverpool. However, John Barnes as a former Liverpool player considers that the direction of Jurgen Klopp’s squad does not need a new player, unless he is Lionel Messi.

It must be admitted that Liverpool in the campaign this season did look brilliant, they were lined up to become one of the Premier League champions this season, also in the European Champions League. The Reds have so far been unbeaten in 16 matches in the English premier league. Though Alisson Becker, Joel Matip, Fabinho, and Mohamed Salah as the club’s main players had pulled over because of injury.

In the European Champions League, they also look good, finish as the top of the standings and qualify for the round of 16. Liverpool had previously been linked with a number of players, especially in attack, including young English players, Erling Haaland and young French star, Kylian Mbappe.

Jurgen Klopp once revealed that his team might buy new players in the winter of January 2020. It’s just that, John Barnes rate there is nothing worth buying later Liverpool except Lionel Messi, would be great, if they could buy the ArgentinE mega star from Barcelona.

The rest, Barnes assess Jurgen Klopp’s squad is pretty good, even for the reserve squad.

“I don’t think there’s anything that Liverpool needs to bring in, what’s the point of Liverpool signing anyone? If they can get Messi that’s great, but we have a good army. There is no one we can our first team [Liverpool] to make us better, we have enough [reserve] squad players, but I am very happy with the situation now,” Barnes told BCB.

Actually Liverpool for the past two days has continued to be associated with the young Salzburg striker, Takumi Minamino. The Reds have even contacted Salzburg to try to bring the 24-year player. But until now there has been no agreement reached, maybe next 2020 January.
