Olivier Giroud will soon join Inter Milan
The mystery of the future of the French striker Olivier Giroud seems to be answered in the near future. According to reports spread over the past few hours, the former Arsenal player has reached an agreement with Inter Milan. It is believed that in less than three days he will officially become a new Nerazzurri player.
It must be admitted, Giroud found a bad luck at Chelsea since the 2019/20 season began. He did not get many hours of play under the leadership of Frank Lampard, who became the new Chelsea manager replaces Maurizio Sarri. Giroud himself is not comfortable with these conditions.
Moreover, the coach of the French National Team, Didier Deschamps had given a chance to Giroud to immediately move the club if he did not want to lose his place in the national team for the upcoming Euro 2020 event. The Daily Mail reported that Giroud had finally found the club of his career destination. The former Arsenal player is believed to be joining Inter Milan.
This news emerged based on reports that said that there was an agreement between Inter Milan and Chelsea. Since the beginning of last week, Inter’s representatives have been in London to complete the Giroud transfer. Finally the two teams agreed on a dowry of 5.5 million pounds for the French striker’s transfer.
Earlier, reports also emerged that claimed that Giroud had reached a personal agreement with Inter Milan, including a pre-contract agreement. Before this weekend arrives, the player is believed to immediately join forces with Antonio Conte’s directives. On Saturday (1/18) he is scheduled to fly to Milan.
At that moment Giroud will immediately undergo a medical test, and if it goes well, he is immediately introduced as a new Nerazzurri player. It’s just that, from the beginning, word got out that Giroud would not be Inter Milan’s main option. The reason is, Conte more often rely on the duet Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez, which so far has been going very well.
Even so, this move is believed the player can make more playing quota than survive at Chelsea. Playing minutes are all that Giroud needs to achieve his determination to play in the Euro 2020 Cup with the French national team.
