Not because of Covid-19, here’s the chronology of Sheikh Ali Jaber’s death

The news of grief surrounds the Indonesian Muslim community, because one of their great scholars, Syekh Ali Jaber, who passed away on Thursday morning, January 14, 2021.

Many are wondering about the cause of the death of Sheikh Ali Jaber. Many assume that the Ulama ‘died because of Covid-19, considering that the deceased had suffered from the disease and received intensive care.

However, it can be ascertained that this assumption is not true, this was also explained by Ustaz Yusuf Mansur. It was said that at one point, Sheikh Ali Jaber was in a critical condition.

“Last night it started to be critical at 23.00 WIB. It had been installed the ventilator for about 16 days,” said Yusuf Mansur in a short message to detik.com.

Then, through his personal Instagram account, Ustaz Yusuf Mansur uploaded a photo with the following caption:

“Died at 8.30 WIB at the Yarsi Cempaka Putih Hospital,” he wrote.

Meanwhile, the assumption that Sheikh Ali Jaber died because of the Coronavirus, this is also firmly denied by Ustaz Yusuf Mansur.

He emphasized that Sheikh Ali Jaber died with tested negative for Covid-19, but he indeed has lung disease that he suffered for long time ago.

“There are comorbidities, lung. But he died with tested negative for COVID-19,” continued Yusuf Mansur.

Previously, it was necessary to know that Sheikh Ali Jaber had indeed been rushed to the hospital, because he tested positive for Covid-19. He even entered into the ICU, because he needed intensive care and so he could really deep rest.

A few days ago, Sheikh Ali Jaber’s condition was worrying because his photo was scattered in the ICU. In the photo, Sheikh Ali Jaber is seen wearing a ventilator or breathing apparatus.

There was an issue that Syekh Ali Jaber’s condition was critical, but from the photo the Sheikh Ali Jaber Foundation gave a rebuttal and said the cleric’s condition was getting better.

Unfortunately, not long after recovering from Covid, Sheikh Ali Jaber was critically ill because of a lung disease he had suffered for a long time. The Ulama ‘passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2021.

According to information heard, Sheikh Ali Jaber will be buried in Lombok.
