Messi’s loyalty and commitment to Barcelona is unquestionable

Lionel Messi’s future polemic has ended with the player being confirmed to stay at Barcelona for another season, according to the rest of his contract at Camp Nou.

The situation is indeed complicated, in essence Messi is already disappointed with club officials and plans to leave. He has sent a fax containing transfer request to Barcelona.

Unfortunately, the club blocked his intention with an impossible to redeem release clause, 700 million Euro. With compulsion, Messi finally chose to stay at the Camp Nou.

Of course, the news of Messi’s survival makes Barcelona fans breathe a sigh of relief, but not all of them can take it for granted.

A faint voice began to appear criticizing Messi for wanting to leave. As a result, many of them then doubted the loyalty and commitment of Argentine players to the club.

In fact, criticism after criticism has started to be heard, they all feel Messi does not deserve to be captain of the first team. However, former Barcelona player Victor Valdes emphasized that Messi actually had no intention of embarrassing Barcelona.

“I also suffer, because he is my colleague. Leo played with me since he first entered the first team and I’ve always had a good relationship with him,”

“I’m so miserable because Leo’s attitude can never be doubted, not even his quality. I feel hurt by the comments that are circulating, but that’s football.” Valdes said quoted from RAC1.

Maybe Messi has already expressed his frustration with Barcelona and tried to disobey, but Valdes has no doubt about La Pulga’s commitment and loyalty to the Catalan giants.

He is even sure that next season Messi will show his best before leaving.

“I am also very happy that Barca want to keep him and I hope he can give them many happy moments,”

“I think this season will be a good season for him. We will see a version of Leo who tries to prove his abilities. It is certain that he can be decisive in every match – that’s the most important,” he said.
