Maverick Vinales very happy after winning his first victory of the season
Monster Energy Yamaha Team Rider Maverick Vinales finally won his first victory at the 2020 MotoGP at the Emilia Romagna Series, Misano Circuit last Sunday (20/09).
For information, in the 7th series race last weekend, this Spanish Rider started from Pole Position and led the race for the first five laps.
He was smoked by Francesco Bagnaia at turn 4 on lap 6, even the Pramac Racing Rider had a chance to go far leaving Vinales.
Vinales thought that at the moment his focus is only on defending 2nd position until the finish line. But luck happened on Lap 21, precisely at Turn 7.
At that time, Bagnaia made a mistake so that Vinales managed to reclaim the pole position and defend it until the finish line.
After the race, Vinales said he was very happy because finally he was able to win his first victory in the 2020 season.
“It felt so amazing, and we prepared everything well. Throughout the race, Pecco was very fast and I was very determined myself.”
