Yes, Marc Marquez as the MotoGP champion has officially agreed a new contract with the Repsol Honda Team on Thursday (2/20) yesterday. This new contract has a duration of four years, which means that Spanish riders will survive with Japanese manufacturers until 2020.

Of course, this contract is very special, because there is nothing in history for a rider to receive a four-year contract. The longest the contract offered is two years. But it is not surprising, given the flashy achievements which inscribed 27-year-old figure.

After successfully becoming the world champion in the 125cc and Moto2 classes, Marquez has joined Honda, starting when he holds a rookie status in MotoGP in 2013. The figure, nicknamed Baby Alien, has collected 56 wins in MotoGP.

In addition, Marc Marquez also succeeded in a row to be the world of MotoGP since 2013 until now. Except in the 2015 edition, where his dominance was undermined by Jorge Lorenzo who became rider Ducati Corse.

Finding this new long-term contract, Marc Marquez could not hide his joy. He also believes that he can continue to succeed together with the Repsol Honda Team.

“I am very proud to announce that I have improved my contract with Honda Racing Corporation for the next four years. Honda gave me the opportunity in the MotoGP class with a motorcycle manufacturer since 2013.
