Manchester United Needs To Recruit Top Strikers Again
Cavani’s presence to fill Manchester United’s front line, but this fact is doesn’t necessarily make Arsenal legend, Ian Wright thinks the Red Devils have a complete squad right now. He advise the Manchester Untited to recruit another top striker.
Cavani joined Manchester United as a free transfer player in last year summer market transfer after hist contract with PSG ended at the same time.
That Uruguayan player has started to look good on his performance lately, but his goal score is still slight when he only can make 7 goals in 24 matches in all competitions.
Meanwhile, another mainstay of Manchester United, Anthony Martial, has yet to find his sharpness. No wonder he often gets hars criticism from various parties.
Indeed, Solskjaer still have two strikers, Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood, but they look better if they play as winger in the 4-2-3-1 grip applied by the tactician.
So, it’s proper if Ian Wright the suggested Manchester United to recruit another striker who have same quality like Teddy Sheringham before.
“If we look at all the strikers in the past who have played for United, they were extraordinary, it was difficult to face them, because they were good at various things,”
“I think they‘re far from having a center forward who focused on linking play, whether it’s Sheringham, Cole and Yorker, the way they keep the ball in that area is much better than the current players.” Said Wright in the Wrighty Haouse Podcast.
Furthermore, Ian Wright felt a little astonished by Solskjaer, who even though he knew the club’s philosophy very well because he had spent a long time as a United player, instead he was not looking for striker who fits that philosophy.
“It’s surprising me that Solskjaer, who plays in those teams., is not looking for an attacker who can do it. It has to happen,” he conclude.
In fact, Manchester United has recently been linked with a young Norwegian bomber, Erling Braut-Haaland.
