Luis Suarez promises that he won’t celebrate if he scores against Barcelona

The new Atletico Madrid player, Luis Suarez, admitted that he could not wait to play a match against his former club, Barcelona in the Spanish league. Even so, the former Liverpool promised not to celebrate if he broke into Ter Stegen’s goal.

The Uruguay National Team player does have fond memories with Barcelona. Since joining in 2014, he has won four Spanish La Liga titles, 4 Copa Del Rey titles and 1 European Champions League title.

Not only that, from the individual level, he also won the golden boot, to be precise in the 2016/17 season.

Unfortunately, the former Liverpool star is not included in the plans of Barcelona’s new coach, Ronald Koeman. As a result, the person concerned had to be willing to take off the giant Catalan uniform last summer.

Had been linked with Liverpool, Juventus and Manchester United, but in the end El Pistolero joined one of Barcelona’s rivals in La Liga, Atletico Madrid.

Even though he has just joined, it can be said that Suarez has made a good start at the Wanda Metropolitano.

Interestingly, Atletico Madrid will face Barcelona in the Spanish La Liga in two weeks. Of course, this will be a big reunion for Luis Suarez, because he has just left the club he has been defending for the past six years.

Suarez himself admitted that it would be a special match for him, but he could guarantee that there would be no celebration if he scored a goal against Ter Stegen.

“No, I will not celebrate the goal out of respect for my former team-mates and for the club that gave me so much. This is definitely a special game for me, facing so many friends,” Suarez told AS.

But, regardless, what is on his mind is Atletico Madrid and how to bring Diego Simeone’s team to the three points in the match.

“But I will give my all for this shirt, as I do with every club I play in,” he said.

Meanwhile, the duel is planned to be held on 22 November at the Estadio Wanda Metrpolitano.
