Liverpool officially take part in the 2019 Club World Cup

The 2019 Club World Cup had anxious about the rumors failed to be held. Now, one step of certainty from the Liverpool side that they will appear in the world class event.

While in its preparation, FIFA also divulged who hosted the new Club World Cup in 2021 will be determined at the FIFA Board meeting in Shanghai, on 23-24 October 2019.

“The FIFA Council ensures its right to Qatar as the host of the next two editions of the tournament (Club World Cup), in a format that is in 2019 and 2020,” wrote FIFA in its official account.

When referring to this certainty, Qatar will get positive things as this event can be a preparation for those who will act as host of the upcoming 2022 World Cup. Interestingly here, when the Club World Cup presents new champions from the continent of Europe.

Liverpool managed to beat Tottenham Hotspur with a final score of 2-0 in Madrid last weekend. The record showed that Liverpool had never won the Club World Cup. In 2005, they made it to the final in Japan. However, the Reds failed to win after losing 0-1 to Brazilian club, Sao Paulo.

The club from the English Premier League that last appeared in the world class event was Chelsea in 2012. At that time, the Blues also had to bow down sluggishly, because they lost in the final 0-1 to the club from Brazil, Corinthians.
