Kane must leave Spurs if he wants to be on the same level as Messi and Ronaldo
Harry Kane is advised to leave his current club, Tottenham Hotspur, if he wants to get high credit for his good performance on the field like Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
The 27-year-old man is recognized as one of the best strikers in the world today. At the age of 27, he has performed brilliantly with his club, Tottenham Hotspur and with the England National Team.
But many consider it futile for a good player who has a career in a mid-level team like Tottenham. Indeed, so far, Kane has collected 205 goals but not even once has he had the experience of lifting the championship trophy.
It is for this reason that Jonathan Woodgate as one of the former Tottenham Hotspur players asked Harry Kane to consider the continuation of his career with Spurs.
According to him, a football player with potential like Kane needs a better platform to reach his best level, and Spurs are not enough for that.
He thought that Kane could only reach the level of successful players like Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo if he dared to take big steps in his career, leaving Spurs to join a big club like Real Madrid.
“If Real Madrid comes after you, especially in the case of Harry Kane, he has to go. If he wants to win trophies and reach the next level in the class of Messi, Ronaldo and players like that, he has to go.” Woodgate told Stadium Astro.
Furthermore, according to him, Harry Kane has proven his loyalty to Tottenham, therefore as long as he is in his best form, this is the right time to take big steps before it is too late.
“I can’t imagine him winning the league with Spurs, not this season and not the next few seasons. There is too much that Spurs will need to reach the level of Liverpool and Man City.”
“For me, if he wants to win the European trophy, he has the opportunity to do it at Real Madrid,” continued Woodgate.
Kane himself was linked with a number of European giants, including Real Madrid to Manchester United.
