Juve turn away, MU closer to Milenkovic
The 2019 summer transfer window seems to be going interesting and certainly will bring a lot of surprises. Before moving away, it looks like the road to Manchester United is getting smoother to get Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic.
This smoothness happened because of their competitors, Juventus claimed to have retreated from the player’s hunt. The hunt for Milenkovic was said to be very reasonable, because the player was transformed as a formidable and lucky center back Fiorentina brought him cheaply from Florence last season.
At the level of a Serbian international, Milenkovic turned out to be interested in two European elite clubs, Manchester United and Juventus. The two rich clubs were initially very interested in making it a star player in the future, but Juve reportedly turned away without explaination.
This certainty then gave rise to the greater chance of the Red Devils to get Milenkovic’s signature. Investigated, the reason Juve stepped down was because he had found a better candidate from the former Partizan Belgrade.
Two candidates replacing Milenkovic were Matthijs De Ligt from Ajax and Ruben Dias from Benfica. Although it is hard to get the services of these two players, Juve still shows an optimistic attitude so active in the transfer market.
As an additional ingredient, Juve are seeing two players who are ‘hot’ in the transfer window as they are in demand by many European elite clubs. On the other hand, the way Manchester United get Milenkovic is fairly heavy as Fiorentina are reluctant to let it go this season.
Milenkovic is known to have a contract with Fiorentina until the upcoming 2022 season. For this reason, Fiorentina wants to get more profit from Milenkovic’s name. Investigating, Fiorentina only wants to hear from outside the offer if they are ready to spend around 50 million Euros.
If Milenkovic’s deals process is successful, Fiorentina will benefit many times as they bring in the player with a tag of 5,25 million Euros from Partizan.
