Jurgen Klopp talks about Dejan Lovren’s transfer issues
Lately, Premier League champions Liverpool are rumored to be releasing one of their senior players, Dejan Lovren in the transfer market this summer.
The Croatian national team player is indeed not the first choice in Liverpool’s defense this season. He only became the third liner, who only played if Joe Gomez or Joel Matip could not go down alongside Van Dijk at the heart of the team’s defense.
As a result, Lovren only recorded nine appearances in the Premier League, where only one of them where he dropped as a starter.
The situation made Lovren rumored to be leaving Anfield. As far as news has circulated lately, there is interest from several clubs in Italy and Turkey. There is also interest from Italian Serie A giants AS Roma for the 31-year-old.
But interestingly, when talking about these rumors, Coach Jurgen Klopp actually admitted so far he has no plans to release Dejan Lovren.
The German coach can’t guarantee to play in the first team for Lovren, but nevertheless the defender is one of the important players in his squad.
