One of the Barcelona legends, Andreas Iniesta, spoke up about the issue of the return of Brazilian mega-star, Neymar Jr to Camp Nou in this year’s transfer market. According to the Spanish National Team legend, it was difficult for Neymar to return to Barcelona, because in fact as one of the world’s best players in recent years, Neymar wanted many teams.
Neymar, 26, left Barcelona in the summer transfer window in 2017 after being redeemed by Paris Saint-Germain through pocketing no less than 222 million euros. During his time at Barcelona, Neymar was one of the mainstay players, along with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez, the Brazilian star managed to deliver the Catalan giants to three La Liga titles, and one Treble winner in 2015.
With such a flashy achievement, of course Neymar is expected to be able to deliver Paris Saint-Germain to the same success. Unfortunately, in the first season in question it could be said to be a failure, with part of the season traversed with injuries, and news of the relationship with team mates and coaches. This situation had raised the issue of the player’s move in the summer transfer market yesterday, but in the end Neymar himself chose to stay in Paris.
Nevertheless, with the opening of the winter transfer window this month, the concerned was again rumored to be leaving, with a number of teams linked to the player, including the former club, Barcelona. Regarding the issue of Neymar’s return to Camp Nou, club legend Andres Iniesta claimed to be pessimistic. Because, according to him, many European teams want Neymar with the title as one of the best players in the world.
Even so, Iniesta admits there is still a chance for the transfer to take place, as he has seen things that cannot be possible.
“Personally, I feel it’s difficult for him to come back, but in football I’ve seen thousands of things. If he returns, I always emphasize for years that he is one of the best players in the world. And which team doesn’t want to have it? But I can’t imagine him returning to Barca,” said the midfielder now playing at Vissel Kobe.
