Inter Milan make sure won’t join in Lionel Messi’s hunt
It was rumored that they would enliven the hunt for Lionel Messi’s contract signature, Inter Milan finally issued a rebuttal through their sporting director, Piero Ausilio.
As is known, Lionel Messi has reportedly asked to be sold or released by Barcelona this summer. La Pulga is said to be disappointed with club officials and how Barcelona ended this season’s campaign without a title.
The climax was when the club surprisingly lost 2-8 to Bayern Munich in the European Champions League.
Even though his contract at Barcelona still has one year left, Messi has persisted in asking the club to let him go in the transfer market this summer.
Since the last few days, several European giants have even begun to be linked with Messi. One of these clubs is Inter Milan, which has long had the ambition to hook the 33-year-old striker.
They are determined to bring Messi in Serie A, like his rivals, Juventus have already brought Cristiano Ronaldo since 2018.
It is true that Inter Milan want Lionel Messi, even according to Pierro Ausilio, almost all clubs dream of getting the services of the Argentine player.
However, he can confirm that for now Inter have no intention of bringing the six Ballon d’Or winner to Giuseppe Meazza.
“You’re telling the truth by saying nothing. I don’t even know where the idea came from,”
“If we talk about Messi, there is no club that does not want to sign him, but the reality is different. In the transfer market, we have to be careful and smart,” said Ausilio to Sky Sport Italia.
Furthermore, Ausilio talked about Inter Milan’s plans for the transfer market this summer.
The club plans to recruit potential young players, but before that they will release some players who really do not need to be defended.
“We know what we have to do. First of all, selling players. In this way, we will finance the recruitment of new players. The opportunities are few and what we can take is not too expensive,” said Ausilio.
