Ibrahimovic is at same level with Messi and Ronaldo
Ibrahimovic may never have won the Champions league title or won the Ballon d’Or trophy, but Roberto Mancini considers the Swede to be on par with Messi and Ronaldo.
For the past 12 years or so, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are said to be the best players in the world. Both of them have won five and six Ballon d’Or trophies, the world’s best player award.
With everything they have won and their consistency at the top level until now, Messi and Ronaldo are considered to be on a different level.
While Zlatan Ibrahimovic also recorded a brilliant career. He never won the Ballon d’or, he never even felt the European Champions League title. However, his performance remained at the top level, even to his present age, 38 years.
No wonder so many people think that Ibra deserves to be leveled with Messi and Ronaldo. Italian national team coach, Roberto Mancini is one who thinks like that.
“Zlatan will always be remembered as one of the greatest attackers of all time. I think he is on the same level as Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo,” Mancini told Sport Mediaset.
According to Mancini, this is also evidenced by the fact that the striker continues to score many goals in each team defended, also won the title. Including in this season’s campaign, where the former Paris Saint-Germain performed well with AC Milan.
“He wins the title wherever he goes. He also scored a lot of goals for all the clubs he strengthened. This season he also played very well in Milan. But I don’t know what the plans are for next season,” he said.
Ibra himself joined AC Milan in the January 2020 winter transfer window, after his contract with LA Galaxy ended. Rumors circulated that Zlatan would not continue his career at AC Milan.
The player is called disappointed because of internal conflicts that are happening in the Rossoneri’s body. Ibra is believed to leave when his contract expires next summer. Retire or continue playing, still unknown.
