Ibrahimovic: If I was 20, I’d only scored 4 goals

AC Milan managed to win over Bologna in the first Giornata of Italian Serie A this season thanks to a pair of goals from Zlatan Ibrahimovic. As usual, the Swedish striker again boasted about his heroic actions.

The former Paris Saint-Germain player started the first minute of the match which took place at the San Siro. He just scored his first goal in the 35th minute with a powerful header.

1-0 score did not change until the break of the match. Only in the 51st minute, Ibra managed to score another goal, this time with a penalty after a hard foul by Bologna defender Ismael Bennacer in the forbidden box.

Ibra easily converted a penalty chance to make it 2-0, the hosts’ victory.

After the match, the former Barcelona player then made a comment with an arrogant tone. Yes, this figure is known as an arrogant and controversial player, but that’s what makes him even more recognizable.

This time, Ibra claimed he could have scored two more goals if he were still 20 years old.

“My condition is good, I’m working, this is the second competitive game this season,”

“We won and I could score many more goals. If I was 20 years old, I would have scored two more goals …,” Ibrahimovic told Sky Sport Italia.

However, what he said does not necessarily mean the player doubts his own qualities at the age of 38. Ibra again emphasized that he is like Benjamin Button who is getting older, even looking younger.

“I’m not old, I’m like Benjamin Button, I started old and died young! Despite the jokes, the team is doing well, we’re not 100 percent and making mistakes that can be avoided, but that’s a good sign,”

“The target is to do better than last season. Young players are working hard, they listen, are disciplined and after the last six months they know what to do to play well,” he concluded.

After this, AC Milan will play the Europa league match in midweek.
