Isco was caught on camera and complained about the lack of playing time he got in the Real Madrid first team. So, what is the response from coach Zinedine Zidane regarding the midfielder’s complaints?
Actually, Isco himself is still a good player and has become the mainstay of Real Madrid. But, for some reason, since Zidane took over as manager, the Spanish midfielder rarely got minutes to play.
Included in the El Clasico duel last weekend against Barcelona. In fact, Isco himself was caught on camera complaining about the playing minutes given by coach Zinedine Zidane.
In this match, Isco did not play from the first minute. But on the bench he seemed to complain about the playing minutes of the coach which he thought was unfair.
The other Real Madrid players at that time gave only modest responses.
Actually, protests or complaints about playing minutes are very natural, but Isco did it during the match where there were many cameras that ended up recording the moment.
“When he [Zidane] had to pull me out, he did it in the 50th or 60th minute. And sometimes at half-time. If he had to play me, it only happened in the 80th minute.” Complained isco as reported by Movistar + via Marca.
What Isco complained about did not sound good to Zidane, making the coach have a bad image for being unfair.
However, the Frenchman gave a calm response when asked about Isco’s complaint. According to him, the complaint or protest is a very natural thing to happen.
“He is ambitious and wants to play, just like all the other players. They all want to play and they have to be ready whenever called.”
“That’s what always happens with this team and I think they are all ready to play. Then next it is up to me to decide on the team and change players,” Zidane replied.
Isco joined Real Madrid in the summer of 2013, when he was signed from Malaga. So far, the midfielder has made 159 appearances for Madrid under Zidane, scoring 27 goals and 25 assists.
