Harry Kane is the final piece to complete MU squad

A push for Manchester United to recruit Harry Kane was again voiced, this time coming from their former coach, Ron Atkinson.

In the last few seasons, Manchester United did look listless in the hunt for the title. The presence of the new coach Ole Gunnar Solksjaer did not change the situation, but at least the performance of the Red Devils seemed to improve.

That was also seen from the positive record before the league was suspended, where Manchester United had won 11 matches without defeat with a record of 29 goals and conceded just two goals.

So far, Solskjaer’s troops now occupy the 5th rank in the standings, they are only three points adrift of Chelsea in 4th position.

Competing to win the last four major standings might be done by Manchester United with the squad they have now. But, to hunt for championship titles, Atkonson suggested the Red Devils recruit first-class attackers.

“I think they currently need a top striker,” Atkinson told beIN Sports.

For example, in the Sir Alex Ferguson Era, the club had a ferocious striker in front of opposing goals such as Robin Van Persie and Ruud Van Nistelrooy.

“I see this team lacking a typical striker Ruud van Nistelrooy or Robin van Persie, a striker who is able to guarantee a lot of goals at the end of the season. They need an attacker who can work with Marcus Rashford.” He said.

Manchester United does have Anthony martial which seems to be improving in terms of performance. However, they need more than just developing players, and Harry is the right person.

“They currently have Anthony Martial and he is actually quite good, but I think they still need top strikers, and later they are linked with Harry Kane.”

“I would be surprised if they could get him, but if he joins, he can guarantee United 25 goals at the end of the season for United.” he said.

On one hand, the England National Team striker admitted he could get away from Tottenham Hotspur next summer.
