Griezmann talks about ‘Benzema vs Giroud’ conflict

Karim Benzema hurled ridicule at Olivier Giroud, his own compatriot. Chelsea players did not stay silent. The conflict between the two players is now a hot topic of European media.

It all started with the ridicule launched by the Real Madrid striker. Recently, Benzema broadcast live through his personal Instagram account. He was then asked about the quality comparison between himself and Chelsae striker Olivier Giroud.

Although both from France, Benzema did not hesitate to mock the quality of the former Arsenal player.

He likens the comparison between the quality of himself with Giroud like the comparison between F1 cars with Gokart Cars.

“You cannot compare Formula 1 with karting, and I still say well,” Benzema said in a live broadcast on social media.

After a few days, Benzema was asked to clarify his statement. Instead of cooling the atmosphere, the ex-Lyon actually emphasized his taunts towards Giroud.

“About Giroud, I’m just telling the truth. But we don’t remember what I talked about about him, especially about what he gave to the French national team, “he said.

Giroud then did not stay silent, he replied to the ridicule by boasting the 2018 World Cup trophy he won with the French National team.

Now, seeing that two of his colleagues were involved in a conflict, Antoine Griezmann chose not to side with anyone. However, the Barcelona player praised Giroud for contributing to France’s success at the 2018 World Cup.

“I can’t answer that, I could be in trouble. I love Olivier Giroud, he is a good player and helped us win the World Cup. And that’s important in life, “he said in Twitch.

For information, Karim Benzema has never been called to the French National Team again since 2015. In fact, his performance at Real Madrid is fairly classy and indeed better than Giroud.

However, the crossing is inseparable from the Sex Video scandal that once involved his name five years ago. Already two major competitions have been passed by the 32-year-old with the French national team, including the 2018 World Cup, which was won by Didier Deschamps.
