First goal scored at MU, this is Harry Maguire’s reaction

Harry Maguire finally managed to score his first goal for Manchester United since docked from Leicester City in the transfer market last summer. The goal was created in a match against Tranmere Rovers last weekend. So, how does the player feel about this?

As is known, Manchester United faced Tranmere Rovers in the FA Cup continued last weekend, Sunday (01/26). In that match, the Ole Gunnar Solskjaer troops won a landslide victory of 6-0. Well, one of the six goals that occurred, scored by the defender and team captain, Harry Maguire.

In fact, it was the first goal scored by Maguire for the Red Devils since being brought in from Leicester City last summer for 80 million euros. The goal he scored through accurate long-range kicks. Interestingly, the goal was Manchester United’s opening goal over the hosts.

While five other goals scored by Diogo Dalot, Jesse Lingard, Phil Jones, Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood penalty. Talking about his first goal, Maguire could not hide his joy. He has been waiting for that goal for a long time and has missed many golden opportunities to score his first goal.

“This has been a long wait. I have a lot of opportunities [to score] this year and before that I haven’t managed to break through the opponent’s goal. “It’s fun to finally score goals, help the team and qualify for the next round,” Maguire told BT Sport.

In fact, Manchester United’s victory over Tranmere Rovers had indeed been predicted, considering the opposing team was a second division club in England. Moreover, Solskjaer chose to lose his best squad in the match. Harry Maguire himself played since the first minute.

It seems that Manchester United are indeed reluctant to take the risk of defeat or a draw which could lead to more criticism. Because so far they are often the target of criticism, after swallowing two successive defeats, each against Liverpool and Burnley. The two defeats occurred just before yesterday’s victory over Tranmere Rovers.
