Failed to win again, Quartararo remains grateful

Petronas Yamaha SRT Team rider, Fabio Quartararo failed to defend his victory during the third series at the Brno Circuit, Czech Republic. Of course he was disappointed, but still grateful even though he only finished in 7th position.

El Diablo started from second place, where he was later ‘smoked’ by Franco Morbidelli and Aleix Espargaro. Since lap 9, Quartararo continued to fall behind until finally finishing in 7th position.

For information, in this race, the French racer used medium tires which he had difficulty controlling.

“But since the third corner, my rear tire slipped, I know the potential of this tire is very bad and difficult to control.” he said via

When he saw several other riders like Alex Rins, Valentino Rossi and Miguel overtake him, Quartararo felt that he couldn’t do anything about it. He considers the race this time to be the hardest since his debut last year.

“It’s also very difficult to stay calm because when Alex, Vale and Miguel passed, I couldn’t do anything and couldn’t fight back. This is the most difficult race in my career in MotoGP, “he said.

Apart from this disappointment, the 21-year-old man admitted that he was still grateful for the results of the third series race yesterday. Even though he finished in 7th position, he still pocketed 9 points.

“There are times when you can’t perform well, but you have to know the reason. We have to do an analysis. We made progress in FP4, but instead retired in the race.”

“So, it’s hard to accept this kind of result. But I rode on the limit on Lap 1 to 21, and I think it’s good to have 9 points in this situation. Last year I knew I could get into an accident if I persisted, “he concluded.

For information, previously Quartararo was indeed the fastest in the first two series in a row which were both held at the Jerez Circuit. Quartararo remains at the top of the drivers’ standings with a collection of 59 points, 17 points ahead of Maverick Vinales in second place.

Next, or the fourth MotoGP series this season will be held at the Red Bull Arena Circuit, Austria.
