Petronas Yamaha SRT Team rider, Franco Morbidelli, is determined to pay for his mistake in the previous series during the third series in the Czech Republic on Sunday.
MotoGP this season is indeed an arena for Morbidelli to prove himself. In the first series at Jerez, he managed to finish as the fifth fastest. Meanwhile, in the second series, there was hope to finish in 4th position.
Unfortunately, his ride was damaged on Lap 17. As a result, at that time the racer who was trained by VR46 Academy failed to reach the finish line.
However, Morbidelli admits that he feels very comfortable with this ride. Apart from technical problems, the 25-year-old racer is also getting a good rhythm with his M1 Motorbike.
Because of this reason, Morbidelli also carried high motivation when he visited Brno, Czech Republic in the third series tomorrow. He was determined to pay for the failure in the second series.
“My expectations at Brno are high, especially because this circuit I really like. In fact, I think this circuit is one of the best in the racing calendar! The track has an old style, because it is long and wide, and technical and fast flowing,”
“If you look at our level at Jerez, we expect good results this weekend. I have also achieved some good results there in the past. Of course this year we have to improve and improve our record there,” he said via the team’s official release on Tuesday. (4/8/2020).
Morbidelli also can’t wait to start the third series in the Czech Republic tomorrow weekend. He himself is not grandiose in setting targets, finishing in the top five according to him is enough.
“I think we’re going to have some exciting fights and I’m really looking forward to going there, aiming to finish in the top five,” he concluded.
Meanwhile, in the current standings Franco Morbidelli is in 10th position with a collection of 11 points, 39 points behind the tandem, Fabio Quartararo who sits at the top of the standings after winning the first two series.
