Edinson Cavani reportedly rejected Juventus’ offer
Uruguay striker Edinson Cavani has been named as one of Juventus’ transfer targets in the transfer market this summer. Unfortunately, their offer was rejected by the former Napoli player.
Juventus actually doesn’t lack options on the front lines, they have Gonzalo Higuain, Cristiano Ronaldo, Paulo Dybala, Douglas Costa, Federico Bernardeschi and others.
However, it cannot be denied that the Bianconneri must indeed make improvements in terms of the quality of their squad when looking at last season.
In fact, from the list of attackers he has, only Higuain is the pure attacker. Meanwhile, on the one hand, former Real Madrid players often step aside due to injuries.
Moreover, on the one hand, it was also mentioned that Higuain plans to leave Turkey this summer. The new coach, Andrea Pirlo, has already confirmed that Higuain is not included in his calculations for next season.
For some of these reasons, it should be a strong foundation for club management to find new attackers. Well, one of the names that come to mind is the former Napoli bomber, Edinson Cavani.
The quality of the Uruguayan player is unquestionable, he has scored 200 goals in 301 appearances throughout his career. Not only that, Italian Serie A is also not a new league for Cavani, having spent 9 years there with Palermo and Napoli.
There should be no problem for the player to come back and play with Juventus. But unfortunately, Cavani refused this option.
Sky Sport Italia reports that Cavani rejected Juventus because of his great love for Napoli. As is well known, Cavani had indeed spent time at the club nicknamed Il Partenopei before joining PSG.
Along with this refusal, it means that Juventus is no longer included in the list of goals for the 33-year-old player after his contract at PSG officially ends.
There are several other European giants who are believed to be ready to accommodate Cavani, including one of them is Manchester United. However, the Premier League club has not shown any concrete moves until now.
In addition, it is believed that there is also interest from the Spanish La Liga giants, Atletico Madrid.
