Donny Van De Beek Is Claimed To Be Suitable If He Plays At Juventus
Bryan Roy, the former coach of the Ajax Amsterdam youth team, also spoke up about Donny Van De Beek’s situation at Manchester United. According to him, the young midfielder’s style of play would be suitable when juxtaposed with Juventus. Why?
For information, Donny Van De Beek was one of the players for Ajax Amsterdam when the Dutch club won a ticket to the semifinals of the European Champions League two years ago.
At that time, Ajax contained talented young players, such as Matthijs De Ligt, Frankie De Jong, and Donny Van De Beek. Unlike De Ligt and De Jong who immediately moved clubs at the end of the season, Van De Beek chose to remain in the arena in the 2019/20 season.
The new midfielder decided to move to Manchester United in the summer transfer market in 2020.
Unfortunately, his move to England did not go smoothly. The midfielder has had a hard time adapting to English football, no doubt he has been on the bench more often.
The 23-year-old player is claimed to be uncomfortable with his situation at Manchester United, so he plans to move clubs in the transfer market next summer.
Well, one of the clubs that are reportedly interested in securing Van de Beek’s services is Juventus.
If this is true, Bryan Roy, who knows very well the quality of Van De Beek when he was still in the Ajax academy team, supports this transfer discourse. The reason is, Van De Beek’s playing style is considered to be compatible with Juventus.
“Yes, I think he will do well at Juve. But I think he can do well at any big club in Europe,” Roy told Tutto Juve.
However, Roy did not necessarily suggest that his former upbringed player make a hasty decision. He asked Van De Beek to be more patient at Manchester United.
“He will have to be a little patient for now. I’m sure the time will come for him,” he said.
Van De Beek has so far made 27 appearances for Manchester United in all competitions, with a record of 1 goal and 1 assist.
