Denying rumors of leaving, Salah determined to stay longer at Liverpool
Egyptian star Mohamed Salah finally opened his voice about the transfer issue which recently linked him with two Spanish giants, Barcelona and Real Madrid. The former AS Roma player can ensure that his future is with Liverpool.
In fact, this transfer speculation has been heard since 2020, and it evaporated even more when the player gave hints about his future at Anfield.
Last December, Salah admitted that he could not avoid the transfer rumors linking him with the two La Liga giants.
Since that statement, whether on purpose or not, Salah’s performance on the field has also not decreased, which of course has made Liverpool’s match results tumble, especially in the Premier League.
The figure who has also been linked with Chelsea has since become increasingly linked with Real Madrid and Barcelona. On the one hand, both teams are in need of a new striker.
However, speaking in a brief interview recently, Salah also denied all these rumors and emphasized that he has great respect for his contract with Liverpool which expires in 2023.
“If you ask, I said I want to stay here as long as I can, but as I said before, the decision is up to the club,”
“I will always give 100 percent until the last minute I am at this club. I want to win as many trophies as I can, and I want to give 100 percent to the people who show their love all the time,” Salah told TV2.
Previously, it should be noted that Mohamed Salah joined Liverpool in the summer transfer market in 2017, when he was recruited from AS Roma for a total transfer fee of £ 43 million.
Even though it sounds expensive, actually that figure has proven to be much cheaper than the contribution that Salah has made to Liverpool, including the Champions League trophy, the European Super Cup, the Club World Cup, and finally the Premier League title that Liverpool fans have been waiting for for the last 30 years.
The player has also contributed with 111 goals in all competitions so far.
