David Luiz and 2 Chelsea stars who moved to Arsenal

Arsenal have just made a surprise at the end of 2019 summer transfer market activity, where the North London club successfully hijacked David Luiz from Chelsea. This certainty clearly shook the English football scene, where this weekend the Premier League will officially roll.

Arsenal are looking for a new central defender, as the back sector became Arsenal’s weak point last season. It can be seen how they took the ball from the goal itself 51 times, and it got worse when Laurent Koscielny officially left London.

The option to bring in a new center back also appeared, but not after the usual central defender, but with experience. Arsenal then directed their aim at the figure of David Luiz. The success of the Brazilian defender’s transfer added to the long list of Chelsea players who moved rooms to Arsenal.

Following below are the last two players who moved from Chelsea to Arsenal and as we all know that the two clubs are both from the city of London, England.

Yossi Benayoun

Arsenal without hesitation dare to make a big step by borrowing Benayoun from Chelsea in the 2011/12 season. Interestingly here is because Arsenal’s attitude is quite strange, as Benayoun was already 31 years old.

Sure enough, Benayoun could not make a significant contribution to Arsenal’s trip. Noted he only played as many as 19 matches in the Premier League. Never coming out of a bad zone with many becoming reserve players, Benayoun finally decided to return to Chelsea at the end of the season.

Until finally Chelsea again lent Benayoun to West Ham in his new season, and his career there was not much different from his career with Arsenal.

Petr Cech

The Czech Republic keeper is arguably a Chelsea legend after showing his loyalty as a player for 11 years at Stamford Bridge. Although nicknamed lagenda, but that period is temporary as he decided to leave London in the 2015 season.

Cech then chose Arsenal as his last port as a professional goalkeeper as he had decided to hang up his boots at the end of the 2018-2019 season. Cech’s career at the Gunners was quite brilliant, before being displaced due to age, his figure successfully gave several domestic titles to Arsenal.

His position as the main goalkeeper and then not displaced within a long time. Until in the end Cech was displaced by young goalkeeper, Bernd Leno. Total of 139 appearances in all competitions on his four-season trip with Arsenal.
