Because of YouTube, Jurgen Klopp went to sign Rodrygo Goes?

Rodrygo Goes’ transfer agent, Nick Arcury revealed that his client had approached by Liverpool, long time before joining Real Madrid.

As is known, the 19-year-old striker joined Real Madrid in the summer transfer market in 2018. The Brazilian player was bailed out from Santos through pockets of no less than 45 million Euros.

It’s just that, according to existing rules, the player cannot immediately move closer to the Santiago Bernabeud. He just joined the summer transfer market in 2019, and so far this season’s campaign, Rodrygo performed nicely.

Previously, Rodrygo himself got his first professional contract from Santos since he was 16 years old. At the same time, the Agent said that Liverpool had sniffed the talent the player had.

It was Jurgen Klopp who saw the potential in Rodrygo.

“When Rodrygo signed his first professional contract with Santos at the age of 16, the Liverpool Director called me and said that Klopp already knew this child,” Arcuri was quoted as saying by Goal International.

Arcury explained that Klopp saw the hidden talent possessed by Rodrygo Goes by watching his actions on Youtube. The German manager immediately fell in love with the performance of the brazilian young star.

“He searched for ‘talents from Brazil’ on Youtube, and Rodrygo appeared in his search results. At that time Rodrygo was very young. He then came to Brazil; to see Rodrygo in person and he really liked Rodrygo at the time,” he said.

However, in the end the offer from Liverpool was rejected by Santos, the article they had just given a professional contract to the player.

Two years later, only before Santos was willing to let Rodrygo go to a different club. This season Rodrygo made a neat contribution with Real Madrid, his first European club.

In total, the player has scored seven goals and two assists from 17 appearances in all competitions so far. Unfortunately, we haven’t witnessed the exciting actions of Rodrygo because the competition is being postponed following the Corona Virus pandemic.

There is no certainty about when La Liga will roll again.
