Arsenal should not be satisfied with a draw against Leeds
Arsenal are considered lucky enough to be able to bring home a point from a visit to Leeds United’s headquarters. However, defender Hector Bellerin did not want his team to be satisfied with these results.
As is known, the London Cannon Team visited Elland Road Stadium to face Leeds United in the Premier League continued last Sunday evening WIB (22/11).
In fact, the North London giants appeared to dominate from the first minute, but no goals were scored until half-time. In fact, the situation was getting more difficult for Mikel Arteta’s men when the referee gave Nicolas Pepe a red card in the 51st minute.
In the remainder of the match, Arsenal’s performance seemed to slack off, while the hosts Leeds United took advantage of this moment to attack the visitors’ defense.
However, until the game ended, no goals were scored, the score on the glasses defended and resulted in one point for both teams.
With just one point, Arsenal cannot move from 11th place in the standings. However, this result was actually quite lucky considering that they only played with 10 people for most of the second half.
However, defender Hector Bellerin is reluctant to have his team satisfied because they only won one point.
“As a football player, being happy with the draw didn’t really suit me,”
“It doesn’t matter what the situation is or if you have 10 players, I am someone who always wants to win especially when we are able to do it in some situations.” said Bellerin on the club’s official website.
Nevertheless, Bellerin still praised his colleagues who were able to keep up with the host’s attack with only 10 people.
“In the end, we looked solid at the back and we showed that we can play with 10 men and even against a team like Leeds, who are a team that don’t get tired and attack you for more than 95 minutes.”
“We also managed to prevent them and we need to take those positives,” he continued.
For information, Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United is one of the promoted teams in the Premier League this season. Now, they are in 14th place in the standings.
