Arsenal should finished in a better position last season

Ahead of the match against Arsenal, Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp praised the rival club. According to him, Mikel Arteta’s team did not deserve to finish in 8th place in the final standings last season.

Arsenal experienced misery last season, especially during the first half that saw Unai Emery finally sacked from the manager’s seat and replaced by Mikel Arteta.

Although there has been a change in performance in a positive direction since Arteta handled it, in the end Arsenal were only able to finish in 8th place in the final Premier League standings.

Meanwhile, Liverpool experienced a contrasting fate. They successfully ended the Premier League title drought for 30 years by becoming the top in the final standings.

Meanwhile, Liverpool actually managed to end their fasting title in the Premier League, by straddling Manchester City at the top of the season-ending standings.

Well, in the Premier League continued tomorrow (29/09), these two teams will face each other for the second time in the past month.

Previously, Arsenal won the meeting against Liverpool in the Community Shield match. Klopp himself was amazed by the Gunners’ performance in this match.

For that reason, he feels Arsenal don’t deserve to finish in 8th place in the season-ending standings.

“They are in 8th place because they don’t have time to resolve various situations. They are not the eighth best team in the league, they can easily qualify for Europe, even for the Champions League,”

“The Premier League and a team like this are too good, you can’t decide the season before it starts. It’s not like that,” Klopp said as quoted by Goal International.

Furthermore, the former Borussia Dortmund coach also considers Mikel Arteta’s troops as one of the strong contenders in the hunt for the Premier League title this season with Chelsea, MU, Tottenham and others.

“It’s an open title race, Chelsea will be there, United will be there, Arsenal, Tottenham – these teams will be there,” he concluded.

Meanwhile, the duel against Arsenal tomorrow will take place at Anfield Stadium.
