Antonio Conte, the main reason for Achraf Hakimi to join Inter Milan

Moroccan young talent, Achraf Hakimi has completed his move to Inter Milan this summer. The player himself admits that coach Antonio Conte is the main reason why he is willing to join the San Siro.

Previously, Hakimi was a Real Madrid player who performed brilliantly with Borussia Dortmund as a loan player for the last two seasons.

During that period, Hakimi scored five goals and five goals in the Bundesliga last season. In addition, he also made 10 assists.

The 21-year-old player felt that he would not have a place in Los Blancos’ main squad if he returned to the Santiago Bernabeu, as a result he chose to leave.

After being linked with a number of clubs, in the end, the 21-year-old defender chose to join Inter Milan after being redeemed for a fee of 40 million Euro. Hakimi signed a five-year contract at the Giuseppe Meazza.

Speaking after being officially introduced as a new Inter Milan player, Achraf Hakimi said that the presence of coach Antonio Conte was the reason he accepted an offer from Inter Milan.

According to him, the tactician carried a playing style that would suit hiS style.

“I chose Inter, because I saw that the style of the coach suits my way of playing and that can really help the team. We will try to achieve good results and of course, we will fight to win the Scudetto.” Hakimi said on the club’s official website.

Furthermore, this Spanish-blooded player admitted that he was quite impressed by the figure of Antonio Conte. He considers the former Chelsea coach to be a very competitive and ambitious figure in reaching his goals.

“A great coach, with a very competitive mindset. He has a huge passion for football and passes it on to the players, fans and everyone at the club.”

“The motivation makes the team play lively and excited in every match.” He said.

Actually, Inter Milan itself already has a good defensive line consisting of experienced players. Will Hakimi be able to win a place in the first team next season?
