Two young Manchester United stars, Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood have shown massive development so far. Thus claims the legendary MU, Andy Cole.
At the beginning of this season, Solskjaer did get criticized related to gambling he did as a coach of Manchester United.
Instead of bringing in a brand-new striker after the departure of Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku, the Norwegian coach relies instead on Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood. All three are young players who still lack experience.
But who would have thought, the speculation carried out by the interpreter of tactics was answered well. Both Rashford and Greenwood answered Solskjaer’s trust by scoring many goals for the Red Devils this season.
Manchester United legend Andy Cole considers the development of both of them to be so rapid. In fact, he considered Rashford was undergoing the best season.
“I think this has been Marcus’ best season, I think Marcus has found his focus this season. He is now playing in his best position,” said Cole to Counter Attack Podcast.
As for Mason Greenwood, Andy Cole believes that he has a bright future and can be the best striker in the future.
“While the young boy, Greenwood, I think he has a bright future. I am sure that his future will be extraordinary,” he said.
However, Cole believes that Rashford and Mason Greenwood have not shown their full potential. Both can still grow even better, because they are the future of Manchester United.
“I think these two children will be the future of this team. I’m sure Mason and Marcus will give more to this team, because their careers are still very long. They just need to fulfill their best potential,” he said.
Unfortunately, Marcus Rashford himself still cannot play. The player is sure to be absent until the end of the season due to a back injury suffered since last January.
While Mason Greenwood is still relied upon together with Anthony Martial on the front lines of the Red Devils. Both will be relied upon again by Solskjaer in the match against Manchester City this weekend.
