Ander Herrera: Neymar-Mbappe will not leave the club

The glory of Kylian Mbappe and Neymar Jr did indeed make a number of European giants arrive to win the signatures of the two players. But PSG’s new midfielder, Ander Herrera believes that the two stars will not leave the club.

Neymar indeed performed brilliantly with Les Parisiens, starting from being brought in from Barcelona in the summer of 2017.

However, since the transfer market last summer, the Brazilian star is believed to want to return to the arms of his former club, Barcelona. The Brazilian striker has been rumored not to be in Paris since last season.

Neymar is claimed to feel unsure of the Paris Saint-Germain project, because after three years of defending the French club, they have never been able to compete tightly on the European stage. But Herrera refuted this notion, he even heard it directly from Neymar.

“I had dinner with Neymar before quarantine and he was very involved in the club project. He told me very happy to be in Paris, “Herrera said as reported by Sportskeeda.

Meanwhile, Mbappe, who is still 22 years old, has performed consistently since being recruited from AS Monaco in 2017.

Reportedly starting from Liverpool, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Chelsea are interested in securing the services of young French stars next season. But once again, Ander Herrea stressed that both Mbappe and Neymar will not leave Paris in the upcoming transfer market.

“Mbappe and Neymar are still at PSG and it will be like that, seeing the current situation,” he said.

Based on the news that was heard, Mbappe was wanted by the La Liga giant, Real Madrid.

Los Blancos currently still rely on Karim Benzema as the main spearhead, but they are disappointed with the performance of Eden Hazard who did not bring impact since being recruited from Chelsea last summer.

However, Herrera had no doubts about the capacity of his club to retain the two players.

“The PSG project is that they both feel happy in Paris,” Herrera said.

Paris Saint-Germain itself has won the French Ligue 1 title this season after the local government decided to stop the soccer competition completely. When disallowed, PSG status as the top of the standings with a collection of 68 points.
