Ajax coach reveals Hakim Ziyech’s transfer move to Chelsea
Transfer speculation that claims the move of Moroccan midfielder Hakim Ziyech to Chelsea does not appear to be a mere hoax. It was Ajax Amsterdam coach, Eric Ten Hag who confirmed the news.
Actually, this speculation has been heard since early January. Chelsea is said to be planning to bring in a 26-year-old player in the winter transfer market. Unfortunately, their efforts did not produce results.
The reason is because Ajax Amstedam as the owner of the player who refused to sell Hakim Ziyech. Because, de Godenzonen still needs Hakim Ziyech to compete for the Dutch Eredivisie championship trophy for the rest of the season.
For information, Ajax is still competing with AZ Alkmaar at the top of the current standings. The Son of Gods is top with a three-point advantage.
Despite failing with his efforts to bring the midfielder in January yesterday, Chelsea did not necessarily give up. They will try to woo the 26-year-old player in the transfer market next summer.
In fact, based on audible reports, Chelsea have reached a personal agreement with Hakim Ziyech. Not only that, the tantalizing contract has also been prepared by this Premier League giant for the player.
Now, all Chelsea needs to do is hope that Ajax releases the Moroccan midfielder to Stamford Bridge at the end of the season. The Blues have already prepared 45 million Euros to redeem the player’s tag.
Speaking of these rumors, Ajax Amsterdam coach Eric Ten Hag could not refute them. He admitted that Ziyech would indeed move to Chelsea. However, he also did not rule out the possibility that the player will stay afloat.
“Ziyech to Chelsea? The transfer will occur, we predict it will. I actually had guessed this, a year or two before. And every time that happens: ‘Wow, he’s holding on again‘. We are happy to still have it until the end of the season,” said Ten Hag.
For information, Ziyech joined from FC twente in the summer of 2016. During nearly four seasons defending Ajax Amsterdam, he has packed 48 goals and 62 assists.
