One of the great Juventus legends, Alessandro Del Piero suggested Andrea Pirlo as the Bianconneri’s new manager to install 4 attackers at once when facing Barcelona later.
As is known, Juventus will indeed face Barcelona on the 2nd matchdays of the European Champions League Group preliminary round, next Thursday morning WIB (29/10).
On the first matchdays, the two teams both won. So, in other words the duel will determine who will top the Group G standings.
Ahead of the match, both teams actually failed to achieve maximum results in the league. Juve only drew against Hellas Verona, Barcelona was even worse, losing 1-3 to Real Madrid at home.
But apart from that, Barcelona is definitely not an easy opponent in the meeting. Therefore, Alessandro Del Piero advised Pirlo to find the best formation, if necessary, install four attackers at once in a 4-2-4 formation.
“Juve outside with Kulusevski and Chiesa have great potential to push, one on one, in the legs. I also see the possibility of playing with two central midfielders, even for a 4-2-4 possibility,” he said.
“If you have a lot of potential in attack, you have to take advantage of it: 4-2-4 right now can give four players in front quite strong freedom,” Del Piero told Sky Sports.
Juventus does have an abundance of front line options, especially since the arrival of Alvaro Morata. But it should be, Cristiano Ronaldo who can be a mainstay on the European stage. Unfortunately, the Portuguese mega star is on the sidelines due to the Corona virus.
Del Piero himself suggested Pirlo to try to pair Dybala with Morata, while Kulusevski teamed up with Federico Chiesa.
“Kulusevki on the right, Chiesa on the left and Dybala-Ronaldo or Dybala-Morata. In Europe it must be like that,”
“The purchase of Morata must be considered, if we then remember Ronaldo in Madrid, Benzema did a lot of dirty work,” he exclaimed.
Cristiano Ronaldo may miss the match, so that his reunion with his rival, Lionel Messi, may only be realized in the next second meeting. This fact is very unfortunate for football fans.
