Adam Lallana advised to leave Liverpool

Former Southampton coach, Nigel Adkins advised English midfielder, Adam Lallana to leave Liverpool. Not without reason, according to him it is the right solution for the midfielder to get more playing quota.

Adam Lallana joined Liverpool in the 2014 summer transfer market, he was bought from Southampton. Since then, this England midfielder has made 178 appearances in all venues for the Marseyside Team.

So the mainstay in midfield, Lallana’s performance is actually very qualified. It’s just that luck does not side with the England national team players. He has often encountered injury problems in the past few years.

The situation made Lallana rarely play, and finally he was pushed aside from Jurgen Klopp’s squad.

Even this season, the 31-year-old figure has just collected three appearances as a starter in the Premier League. However, he scored the equalizer against Manchester United in a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford last October in the English League.

Meanwhile, Nigels Adkins himself had handled Adam Lallana while at Southampton, precisely in the period 2010 to 2013. Seeing the condition of the former flagship player now, Adkins admitted sad.

Adkins himself had coached Lallana for three years at Southampton between 2010 and 2013. He regretted Lallana not being used at Liverpool.

“He’s one of my favorite players. I used to have the opportunity to become a manager at Southampton and Adam Lallana was a shining light.

“Very enthusiastic, very contagious, a talented young man who is very skilled who likes to work every day. He’s a talented player and it’s important he plays. He is often out of the squad, he is just a marginalized player at Liverpool now and it’s a shame,” Adkins told Sky Sports News.

Meanwhile, the current Adam Lallana contract at Liverpool will soon expire next summer. So far there is no new contract agreement, so maybe the midfielder will leave the transfer market later.

Adkins fully supports Lallana’s move from Liverpool, so that the player gets the chance to appear regularly again.

“It’s a short career and you have to play, you have to go and play. So it doesn’t matter where he goes for me, as long as you see him playing football, because he comforts you, he is interesting to watch, he moves left and moves right.” He said.
