2020 Thai MotoGP rescheduled for October
After the first Race at the Losail Circuit, Qatar was confirmed canceled, the MotoGP then overhauled the existing schedule. The second series race in Buriram, Thailand has also been confirmed to be delayed, but a new schedule has been released.
For information, the first MotoGP series this season should have been held since March 6 at the Losail Circuit, Qatar. However, in the end the race was canceled following the Qatar Government’s recent decision.
The Qatari Government took part in taking precautions by banning its citizens from going to affected countries, and forbidding tourist visits from these countries.
Considering that many riders came from affected countries like Italy, the result was that MotoGP was canceled.
Not only Qatar, the Second Series should have been held in Buriram, Thailand but postponed. Because, Thailand is also one of the countries that have been contaminated with the COVID-19 virus.
Of course, the decision made the riders feel disappointed, the article they’ve been doing pre-season trials since last January. However, the MotoGP side did not stay silent addressing this situation.
They finally rescheduled for the 2020 MotoGP season, and here is the latest schedule:

May 3: Spain – Jerez
May 17: France – Le Mans
May 31: Italy – Mugello
June 7: Spain – Barcelona-Catalunya
June 21: Germany – Sachsenring

July 12: Finland – KymiRing
August 9: Czech – Brno
August 16: Austria – Red Bull Ring
August 30: United Kingdom – Silverstone
September 13: San Marino – Misano
September 27: Spain – MotorLand Aragon
October 4: Thailand – Buriram
October 18: Japan – Twin Ring Motegi
October 25: Australia – Phillip Island
November 1: Malaysia – Sepang
November 15: Spain Valencia
Previously, the second series in Thailand which was supposed to be held in April 2020 has now been postponed until October. While Moto2 and Moto3 have not changed, they still hold the first series at the Losail Circuit, Qatar.
